A rewards program the Whole family enjoys!

                                Viggle

                                        Watch TV.
                                      Get Rewards.

While the hubby loves that I coupon and do as much as possible to save money there are very few things that he enjoys doing to save money. I get a couponers high going into the checkout or cashing out my points on swagbucks to recount the amount of dollars in gift cards I have. The hubby not so much. But I have found something the entire family likes to do! Well the two oldest kids anyway. So there are four family members who are now getting Viggle points. You do have to have a smart phone. If you have direct tv you will get all kinds of bonus points and I'm very jealous! We have att uverse and don't get the same perks. All you do is click on the app and check in when your tv is on. A few friends have messaged me asking what if another rewards program they can get involved in and I have been telling them that I've been testing out one that takes 10 seconds at a time, well this is it. I am home all day so when I think about it I check in. Normally to Wizards of Waverly place or Mickey Mouse club during the day.

How I got the hubby involved! If your hubby is going to watch all of the world series games and football games you might as well put that 3 or 4 hours in front of the tv to good use! You can check into games and play along with a player. Guessing who will have the ball next or make the next play, my hubby really does know better than I do. Well if you win you get 1000 points so if he is home watching these games he is now in charge of getting everyones electronics checked in and playing along with a player. It is kind of funny to watch him try to keep track of his phone, my phone, my daughter ipod, and the ipad which my son has claimed as his for viggle.

We even had the two oldest kids watching the presidental debates. They ask questions during prime time tv in the evenings that are about that show. The kids were actually interested in the debate because of viggle and now know a few fun facts about both candidates they wouldv'e never know before.

While I would love to save up 4,000,000 points to get a cruise I don't think that's very practical so we are cashing in for $5 CVS gift cards. Some of you know that I am a couponer and love cvs. I use all of my extra bucks from week to week so I spend very little out of pocket. Now with these gift cards from Viggle I will use none!! In the first week we were able to get enough points for four $5 gift cards. This was over 10,000 points to all 4 accounts. Now I know this will not happen every week. There is a bit of competition as to who can get the most points. The hubby gets up a few minutes early in the morning before work to now turn the tv on and check into NFL am, it's a tv show on in the mornings that is 4 hours long! So his first 4 hours at work he is getting points. Your phone does not have to stay on nor does your tv have to stay on this channel, just don't check into anything else until you get the full points from what you are watching. I did set up the notifications on the app so that it texts me when I'm awarded points so then I'll turn on the tv real quick and normally hit guide and look for the longest show that is on and check in real quick and then the tv goes back off! Super easy!!

Saving $ while having fun with packed Lunches!

Having 3 of 4 children eating lunch at school every day we save money by packing their lunches. That doesn't mean that they have to get a peanut butter and jelly sandwich in a brown paper bag. I try to make it fun and send them little surprises at least once a week. I have just recently started taking pictures of their surprises so I don't have too many yet to post. They love these. My youngest daughter in first grade slowly opens her lunch box every day because she does not like to be the center of attention every so she doesn't always share her surprises with friends at the lunch table. She is however always the first one off the bus to say I found my pumpkin poop today smiling from ear to ear. My son on the the other hand will scream in the lunch room, I got boogers for lunch today! Sometimes their surprises are just little notes from me. My oldest daughter in fifth grade, her last year in elementary school, will probably not want surprises in middle school. She does love them and writes notes for me to find when I'm cleaning out her lunch box for the next day. I find a lot of holiday ideas on pinterest.

First day of school

Pumpkin poop with cheese balls, pumpkin faces on fruit cups

Marshmallow ghost poop

$1 store gummies

Putting all of these pictures on one page I am realizing that there are a lot of gross ones. They are only kids once and will only find these funny for so long.

Santa Season with our Elf on the Shelf Rudolph Jingles Morelfi

Here are some of my favorite things "Rudolph Jingles Morelfi" did with the kids last Santa Season!
Our last name is Morelli so that's where he gets his last name. Last year was one of my favorite Christmas seasons watching the kids wake up every morning searching the house to find what Rudolph did the night before. I am the type of mommy that some of the nasty articles were about last year about how we go  way over board with everything and that this elf is ridiculous. That you should just have him move around the house. I could not disagree more. Our elf did move around the house on some days but other days I had fun getting up early to make a scene for the kids to find. I have 4 little ones but last year was my last Christmas with 4 believers. My oldest told me we needed to talk in private on Christmas morning last year and I immediately became concerned. So we went into the kitchen when Daddy and the 3 littles were putting together toys. She told me that she knows that I'm santa but she wanted to give me one more year. That makes me teary eyed just typing it! I'm so glad to have raised such a sweet girl to know that I would want just one more year with 4 believers, though technically she knew the whole time. She then said, but how did you make Santa's snowy foot prints in front of the fireplace? I told her I would show her next year. The years go by so fast that I want to take the extra couple of minutes every day for them to remember how great our entire Christmas season was, not just one morning. We do a lot from the day after Thanksgiving until the day after Christmas. We adopt a family and I try to teach the kids about giving during the season. But every morning watching them jump out of bed was wonderful. Here are a few of my favorites.

Roasting Marshmallows in front of the fireplace

Writing a letter to Santa on the laptop

He was found with a red Santa marker sitting in the middle of the hallway(this is so I could get a pic of the kids noses with him) This was easier then I thought it would be!

Making a copy of his bottom

Changing the milk to red and green, food coloring

He wrapped all of their bedroom doors

Trying to figure out how to get out. They giggled and giggled for minutes before trying to get out, the paper stayed on their doors for about a week.

Fishing in the toilet for goldfish

Coloring on the family picture, dry erase markers, this was on a weekend. I bought a colored pack of the dry erase markers. I pulled back the curtains on the sliding glass door and they colored on the door for literally hours.

He brought the kids Justin Bieber's Christmas cd and also borrowed one of the girls teddy bears JB sweatshirt. He didn't take this off for a few days.

Ice Skating in the freezer on candy canes

He left door hangers for the kids in their doors

He is waiting for the kids by the stairs in a hot air balloon, a small gift bag with 4 balloons, green and red, one for each child.

Playing dress up with Tank the dog. Brought him a Santa hat

Dunking in the boys room

Toys holding him hostage on the bunkbed stairs

Decorated the Christmas tree with the kids underwear

He missed the snow so he played in the flour

He made them elf donuts on Christmas Eve morning, Cheerios, melted chocolate also with sprinkles. I didn't take a picture fast enough. They ate them fast. This was his last morning. He also left a letter for the kids.

The last morning. They loved being able to touch him!! The letter said one hug but I caught them sneaking in little touches the rest of the day.

The kids ask every once in a while when he will come back and if they will get the same Elf. The girls want a girl elf to come this year so I'm thinking maybe Rudolph got married over the summer at the North Pole so he might make a return with his wife "Snowflake Sprinkles Morelfi" The girls pretended he was a girl last year for a few days and named him that. I really can't wait for Christmas now! I wonder if my husband would let me put up the Christmas tree the day after Halloween instead of the day after Thanksgiving?

How I get free Christmas Cash $5 at a time!!

My Favorite Way to buy Christmas presents!!

Swagbucks!!!!

Here is a link for Swagbucks!

Friends often ask what is my favorite way to get free things. Swagbucks! I use all of my Swagbucks and spend them 450 at a time for Amazon gift cards. 450 swagbucks gets me a $5 Amazon giftcard. I then save all of them until about November/early December and use them for Christmas shopping. Amazon has all kinds of deals all the time but especially before Christmas! Last year I bought my children books, American girl dolls and books, remote control cars, art supply sets, legos, and stocking stuffers to name a few. I will do the same this year. I did also buy my youngest son golf clubs for his birthday using my Amazon gift cards. I try not to use them but if I'm buying something from Amazon I will use them. I have also purchased a gift card for my father in law from Home Depot with my swagbucks. There are all kinds of things you can spend them on. I have only ever used them on the giftcards. You can start now and still have plenty of time to get Christmas cash!

A few things that I do daily on Swagbucks. These literally take 10 seconds. The Daily Poll, it's one question, you get one swagbuck. Then I do the NOSO, which is no obligiation special offer, I click through 5 or 6 of them on see next offer or skip until I get the screen to collect my 2 swagbucks. Then I do a search. It takes about 5 to 10 searches for it to give me any swagbucks. I will get as many as 50, though normally it's around 10, every once in a while you will get a big jackpot though. There are also swag codes that you can enter. Swagbucks puts codes in their blog and around the site. I will start posting where to find them on my blog going forward. They are really easy but you are not allowed to share the actually code. You can watch tv on the site to earn. Just click on the earn tab and start earning. I was a little bit overwhelmed when I first started on the site and some of my friends that are now on it say the same thing, but the more you are on it the easier it is. Trust me just do a few of the same things everyday to earn and then try something additional every once in while. Its worth it when you can knock out half of your Christmas list for free!

It is amazing how quickly they add up. They also now allow 2 accounts per computer. So of course my hubby has his own account so we get twice as many. Right now my account sits at 316, his account is at 332. So you can see that they normally stay pretty close to each other because I use both of them daily. So I will be getting $10 more for Amazon from them this week when they each hit 450!

Calendar Cheaper than a White Board!

Twenty Minutes for a Dry Erase Calendar that matches my home!

My husband has started to call me Martha. But I don't really care. I have four little ones and way to many things to remember. A big white board is ugly and I would want to hide it. A cheap large frame from Walmart and some paint samples. I was standing in the paint section for 5 minutes until an employee came and asked me if I needed any help. Yes, can I pretty please take more than a few paint samples? I felt so bad taking a ton of them so I asked permission. He said I could take 200 if I wanted them. So I took 40 just to be safe. 10 of each color. A 97 cent dry erase marker. Though now I know I need a fine tip next time.

$1.00 off Lipton Recipe Secrets! Only 27 cents!!

Lipton® Recipe Secrets-SAVE $1.00

SAVE $1.00

Lipton® Recipe Secrets

on any ONE (1) Lipton® Recipe Secrets

$ and Time saving Easy Oatmeal Breakfast! 50 Breakfasts for about 1/4 of the cost out of a box!

This is both a money and time saver!
I hate buying boxes of oatmeal. They cost so much for so little oatmeal. We go through a box in less than 2 mornings. I am also not a fan of making oatmeal thats not from a box in the morning when we all seem to be so rushed while getting ready for school. So I spend about 10 minutes and make my own packets.

What I use-      the biggest container of Quick Oats that I can find
ziplock baggies (I actually save mine to reuse them again for the next batch of oatmeal, they are all dry ingredients and the same ingredients are going in them again.)
sugar
light brown sugar
chocolate chips
raisins
cinnamon

I put 1/2 cups of oats into ziplock bags until the oats are gone. The half cups bags are used for the varsity and to be split in half for the junior varsity who don't eat as much yet.
1 teaspoon of sugar into all bags, 1 teaspoon brown sugar into all bags
My sons like chocolate oatmeal, I myself do not, I put 2 teaspoons chocolate chips into some bags
I put 2 teaspoons of raisins into some bags
The rest of the bags get a sprinkle of cinnamon

I put all the baggies into a basket that is kept at kid level in the pantry so they can grab and go in the mornings. I add 3/4 cup of water and put in the microwave for 1 minute. I then add about 1/4 cup of cold milk after its out of the microwave to cool it down and they can eat immediately. It ends up being the perfect consistency for my kids.

Let the Kids stay up Past their Bedtime!!

Let the Kids stay up Past their Bedtime!!

I know in my house no one ever wants to go to bed! Even Mommy and Daddy are night owls. The kids are thirsty and need to go potty. They suddenly are starving and can't find something they want to sleep with. Bedtime with four can be a long process. So we have started a system in our house for bedtime Monday-Thursday. One night for each child to stay up 15 minutes past their bedtime and get to stay up with Mommy and Daddy! To earn this reward you have to go to bed on all other nights on time and when we tuck you in the first time! I didn't want them to use this time for tv time so it's not long enough to watch a show, most of the time it's actually just spent reading! Each week they have the same night. Friday and Saturday we don't really stick to a bedtime and Sunday they all go to bed at the same time so Mommy can get ready for the week ahead.

Dates with the Kids Freebies/kids

While it's important for me and the hubby to get away from the 4 kidlets we also get away with each child individually. Having four little ones, I don't always get as much one on one time as I would like with each one of them. So when the Varsity, the two oldest were getting a little bigger, ages 6 and 4 and the junior varsity were still in diapers and wobbly walkers, at ages 2 and a newborn, we started having dates with the kids. Taking care of the younger kids took a lot more of my time then taking care of the varsity who were able to dress and feed themselves so there wasn't as much one on one time with them. We do this on a budget and free as much as possible. This is a big deal to the kids and something they look forward to. They get excited picking the dates and countdown the days until their next date. We alternate between mommy and daddy. My little guy is home with mommy all day every day because he isn't in school yet so he only goes on dates with daddy alone normally. I can not tell you enough how much the kids love their dates. The girls even put on dresses and lipgloss when having a date with daddy.

Our current date schedule-
-In the last few weeks we were sent 2 free movie tickets for Here Comes the Boom. My oldest had already seen previews and wanted to see this so she went with daddy. (Below you will find how I get free movie tickets, I have been sent free movie tickets for 4 movies in the past 2 weeks)
-We had bid at a silent auction at the kids school for 2 Royals tickets for $10 so daddy took my oldest son on fan appreciation night. It was an evening Saturday game, they came home with 2 free blankets and there was a lot of food that was only $1.
-I did just splurge on tickets for my oldest and I to see the new Twilight movie the day after it comes out. I am not a fan of paying full price but every once in a while it's necessary. We have all of the Twilight movies saved on the dvr so we are making it a week of dates and watching all the movies in the week before we see the new one.
-My oldest son is obsessed with Legos. We went to Legoland in KC on opening day. That was one of our fun family summer things. We try and do staycation things during the summer and not really do those same activities during the school year, unless its free. We also went to "the real" Legoland in Florida last month on our family vacation to Disneyworld. My son enters all the contests that Legoland in KC offers. He has made a few videos for entries. This last entry got him 2 free tickets to Legoland! So that is his and mommies next date sometime this month.
-There is a bounce house that opened up close to our house and the parents are allowed to bounce with the kids so I will be taking both of the little ones for our date.
-Often times the kids will think up things they want to do with us before it's their turn for a date so I have a list in my phone called date ideas. My youngest daugter said a few days ago that she wants to do something with her american girl doll so I put that on my list so I will be taking her to the American girl store for our date so her dolls hair will get done. Sometimes it's something mommy or daddy would rather do with them so we just switch back and forth, so I will have 2 dates in a row with her because daddy doesn't want to go to the american girl store.

A few things the kids like to do-

-One of the kids favorite is the movies. It costs almost $60 for a family of 6 to go to a movie, not including snacks, so going to the theater is something we do as a family once or twice a year and make it a special occasion. Most of the time it's to see a new Disney movie or one of mommies favorite Disney movies that has been rereleased to the big screen. We do love the drive in and go at least once a month between March and October. Kids are free and it's $18 total for all 6 of us to see 2 movies. We pile in the back of the truck with 20 blankets and pillows. I pack a picnic basket with microwave popcorn. We stop at the $1 store and the kids pick out a box of candy and a drink. I have a secret! I have been a part of Gogobo.com for over a year now. It is a site that promotes new movies that are coming to the theater. THEY SEND YOU FREE MOVIE TICKETS! They are sneak previews for movies that aren't in the theater yet. Sometimes they will send them and the previews haven't hit the tv yet so I will not have heard about them yet. Other times they are movies that we have been really wanting to see. It is all done a little bit last minute notice which is the bad thing, being a mommy of 4. They are also almost always on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. If it is a children's movie the lucky child that gets to go see that movie normally will be up past bed time. They normally send a link to get 2 tickets but every once in a while they send you the option to get 4 tickets for a movie. Both the hubby and I have our own individual log ins to separate email addresses so that we get sent twice as many tickets. I was on the site long before I decided to start him a profile so I still get more invites than him. A lot of times we will both be sent invites for the same movie so we will get 4 tickets. They do suggest that you be at the theater an hour before the movie starts, do it! Often times there are more tickets given out than seats. You hear radio stations giving out movie tickets, this is where they also come from. You are also not allowed to have your phone because you could record the movie before it's been released. Not gonna lie, I get anxiety not having my phone for 3 hours in the theater because I'm never with all 4 of the kids at the theater. Below is a link to gofobo.com. Start a profile and enter as much info as possible. It might take 3 months before you get your first invite or it might take only a week. They send them via email so it does need to be an email you check often because then send out a mass email and its on a first come first serve basis. I am not a fan of clicking on my invite and all the passes are gone. I find the more you do on the site the more passes you get. I always rate the movies and give a little review after I see the movie.

http://www.gofobo.com/

-Shopping-The 2 oldest like to pick shopping for their dates. Mommy always goes on these dates with them. It is always for something that they NEED. My oldest son has been in the same shoe size for literally 2 years but has went through 8 pair of tennis shoes so he likes to go shoe shopping. At the end of these dates we stop at the grocery store and I let them pick out ice cream for when we get home.

-Ice Cream-Daddy always chooses to go on these dates with the kids. They like Cold Stone Creamery. So this gets to be a pricey place for all 6 of us at once. There is also a playground next our location so we have ice cream and then play.

-Picnic at the park- going through their favorite drive thru or packing a picnic and eating at the park and then playing at the playground. The kids surprisingly enjoy going to the park with only one parent. I wouldn't think so because you can do so much more with 3 other siblings but they do like to choose a date to the park.

"Blowing Up Soap" with the kids

The kids have starting calling this, blowing up soap. The picture is a bar on the left before and the bar on the left after blowing it up. Take a bar of Ivory brand soap and put it in the microwave for one minute. I open the microwave door and let it get smaller and then put it in for another minute. It gets really puffy and soft. I break it into four sections. A few of the kids take baths and a few of the kids take showers. Even my "big" 10 year old enjoys taking hers into the shower. You are using an entire bar of soap for one bath night but it's worth it. As a couponer I have a stockpile of Ivory soap that I didn't pay for. Even if you don't have a stockpile you can find it on sale for around a dollar.

Freezer Bags are Our Friends! Meals/Crockpot Cooking

I might have an unhealthy love for freezer bags! I have always been a huge fan of my crockpot but add a freezer bag meal to the crockpot and you are spending very little time preparing a home cooked meal for the family! Now that it is fall and a little cooler outside I will cook in the crockpot most days. I have seen a few ladies do 20 freezer meals in one day. I myself do not have a day open with that much time to be in the kitchen, nor do I want to spend 5 hours straight in the kitchen. So instead I like to double a recipe and put half into the crockpot and half into a freezer bag. Most of my meals are pretty quick to get into the crockpot but I do spend about 10-15 minutes on sides and additions to make an entire meal before we sit down at the table. We do have a family of 6 so these recipes feed 2 adults and 4 children. Some evenings a few of the children eat like birds and other evenings they want seconds. We always have enough but rarely have leftovers unless it's soup. I do use a lot of recipes that I find on pinterest but make my own changes to best fit how our family eats. I am new at this and didn't think to take a picture of the finished product, next time. I like to keep my freezer meals for only up to 60 days. Other ladies say they can last a lot longer but I myself put a date and use before 60 days. I include notes with a sharpie with time to cook, date, and anything else that I need to know about adding additional ingredients or what to cook with it. Beware of visitors! My mom came over earlier this week and stole a freezer meal for her crockpot. I am far far far from anything close to a good cook and cooked mostly hamburger helper and meals from a box the first half of our marriage and when the oldest kids were little so I am not saying that what I cook belongs in a restaurant or that your families will love my cooking at all. Just sharing how I save time and money with my cooking. Here are the meals I made for us yesterday and today. I have 2 whole meals now in the freezer for busy days with the kids or lazy days.

Curry Chicken
8 hours on low, 4 hours on high                                            4 green onions chopped
2 tablespoons butter before chicken                                      2 teaspoons curry powder
3/4 Boneless skinless chicken breasts                                   1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 cup dry cooking sherry                                                       salt/pepper to taste

Add butter to the crockpot first, then add everything else. 15 minutes before we sit down I do tend to add a dab of a little bit more curry powder. I serve over brown minute rice. The serving of rice I make takes 12 minutes in the microwave. I remove the chicken from the crockpot and add a little bit of cornstarch to thicken the sauce a little bit. I also serve with small pieces of a thicker tortilla or pita bread with an easy side salad.

Freezer bag- Everything that went into the crockpot except the butter. Add the butter first before adding the freezer bag and cook it the same way you cooked the original.

Chicken Noodle Soup
3 boneless skinless chicken breasts                               1 onion diced
4 carrots peeled and sliced, I myself never have carrots in the fridge, I do always have mini carrots for the kids lunches so I slice 20 of them instead.
4 stalks of celery sliced                                                  1/2 cup white wine
1 tsp salt, 1 tsp pepper                                                    1/2 teaspoon basil
Do not include these in the freezer bag-Add at the end- 12oz extra wide egg noodles                 64 oz chicken broth

Add all but noodles and broth into the crockpot, cook on high for 6 hours. 15 min before sit down strain liquid from the crockpot into a pot. Add chicken broth, bring to a boil. Shred chicken add to soup with veggies that are in the strainer and cook on medium for 5 minutes. I serve with crackers or bread and butter.
